My story
When we were at medical school, we learnt that 1 in 3 people will have a cancer at some time in their life. Today, unfortunately, that has increased to nearly 1 in 2 people. Cancer robs us of loved ones, often many years if not decades before we and they imagined.
Today, almost 3.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer, a figure that's growing steadily. Macmillan’s goal is to be there from diagnosis through every step of the journey.
We have seen first hand the amazing difference that Macmillan can make for people at times of such uncertainty, fear and anxiety.
To support them in all that they do, in September we will walk a marathon, taking on the Cotswolds Mighty Hike, to raise £1000 (we hope!) for Macmillan Cancer Support.
