My story
Last year I took on the Macmillan Mighty Hike solo along the Norfolk coast, it was hard, emotional, and involved more blisters than I’d like to admit…but it was also an incredible experience.
So for some reason, I’ve signed up to do it all over again…and this time I can blame my bestie Steph, who persuaded me it was a good idea.
We’ll be taking on the Jurassic Coast Marathon Hike in July together, partly for moral support, and partly so I’m not the only one complaining halfway through.
Like so many people, Steph & I have friends and family who’ve been affected by cancer, whether personally or supporting someone they love. It’s something no one should have to face alone, which is why Macmillan’s support is so important.
So if I can help by walking a few miles, getting sore feet, and questioning my life choices somewhere along the coast, it really is the very least I can do.
