My story
I’m taking on the Peak District Mighty Hike, pushing my limits to raise £300 in support of Macmillan, and their fantastic carers.
My Mum suffered from a horrible rare disease known as Amyloidosis, which impacted her organs and her general way of life.
She went through multiple hospital stays, various medications, chemo therapy, and given varying timelines from different doctors how long she would have left to live. She sadly passed in 2013, and still very much missed.
However, she stayed on much longer than expected, as she was a strong fighter, which is a credit to her amazing character, and to everyone that treated her to give her that bit of an extra push to keep her around.
Macmillan sent a few carers around to our house to look after Mum, and they were fantastic with her, they deserve all the recognition for that and all the work they do in general, especially with people that suffer from Cancer.
If you could please donate any amount of money for this cause, that would be amazing. A 26 mile walk will not be easy, longer than i have ever walked in one day before, but i know i can do it with support.
