My story
In June 2026, the Double D's (Danielle & Danielle ) are going to be completing the Mighty Marathon in the lake district. This consists of a 26 mile hike for Macmillan Cancer Research which on average, takes around 10 hours to complete.
For the past year, we have both found a passion and love for walking, ranging from White Coppice, to hiking the Old Man of Coniston in the lakes on our days off,
so we thought why not take on the challenge and raise some money for such an important cause.
In order to complete this 26 mile hike,
we will need to complete a strict training plan to ensure that we are prepared, which we will be committed to doing.
Cancer has effected both of our families, and it can turn lives down in an instant, bringing fear, uncertainty and moments where everything feels overwhelming, not just for those diagnosed, but for loved ones too.
Macmillan cancer support is there when people feel lost, frightened or alone. they listen, Care and provide emotional
support. Every donation, no matter how small, will help someone feel supported and understood.
