My story
After successfully completing the Lake District Mighty Hike in June 2025, I’ve decided to challenge myself a lot closer to home this year and will take on the Gower Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer. It’s a 26 mile trek with a paltry 2,711 feet of ascent and hopefully we’ll have better weather than the thunderstorms and underwater stretches faced in the Lake District last year!
My Mum successfully came through cancer treatment in 2024 and is still going strong at 92. My Dad lost his battle with cancer in 2011, but I’m eternally thankful for the care and support he received in his final months.
I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
