My story
This year, we decided to take on something a little different from our usual day-to-day of supporting people in their homes… we signed up for the Macmillan Jurassic Coast Trek. And just like that, Home Care on the Horizon was born.
Working in home care means we spend our days helping others stay safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most. We see strength, resilience, and courage every single day — and it’s those very people who inspired us to take on this challenge.
The Jurassic Coast trek is no gentle stroll. It’s cliffs, climbs, coastal winds, and a lot of “whose idea was this?” moments. But every step we take represents the people we care for, the families we support, and the incredible work Macmillan does for those facing cancer.
We chose the name Home Care on the Horizon because that’s what this challenge feels like to us: looking ahead, pushing forward, and doing something meaningful for a cause that touches so many lives. Just like in care, it’s about showing up, staying steady, and walking alongside people when they need it most.
We’re trekking for:
The clients we’ve supported through cancer
The families who’ve shown unbelievable strength
The carers who give their all, every single day
And for everyone who needs Macmillan’s support right now
Every donation — big or small — helps Macmillan continue their incredible work, offering comfort, guidance, and hope when people need it most.
Thank you for supporting us, cheering us on, and helping us make a difference.
Here’s to blisters, laughter, and a whole lot of coastline…
With love,
Tiffany and The Team
