Thames Path Mighty Hike Half Marathon

My story

Me and mum are doing this hike together and raising money for MacMillan Cancer Charity after they helped support her through surviving bowel cancer 9 years ago

For those of you who don’t know, my mum is the strongest woman I know and this will be her 3rd consecutive Mighty Hike for MacMillan - And this is my 2nd one with her. Since we started training for last years Mighty Hike together, we have walked (almost) every day since.. Some of those 300 or so walks we have done together, have been in person in London, Manchester, Spain and Berlin, and all the rest have been done on the phone together from wherever we have been in the world.. Our 7am walk calls to talk nonsense, share our days, support each other when we didn’t even know we needed it, have had a huge impact on my life. And for those of you who know me and my mum, especially for a long time, will know how special that is…

So if you are thinking of donating, please add an extra pound to celebrate a whole year of me putting up with mum (almost) every day for over a year (or maybe it’s the other way round…….?!)
