My story
In 2024 , my world was shattered when I lost my mum to endometrial cancer. Without the support of the Macmillan team at Torbay Hospital , the battle for her would have been harder. They showed care & compassion when needed & not just to Mum, to us all. So, as mad as it seems as I hung up my walking shoes along time ago, I am taking on the Peak District Mighty Hike, pushing my limits to raise £250 in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, because no one should have to face cancer alone.
Today, almost 3.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer, a figure that's growing steadily. Macmillan’s goal is to be there from diagnosis through every step of the journey.
