My story
I’m taking on the Peak District Mighty Hike, pushing my limits to raise £250 in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.In 2022 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer along with lower left and upper right benign lung tumours after 2 bouts of surgery and ongoing surveillance my journey was fairly straightforward.In 2023 my partner was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer, which required multiple surgeries followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy, before even beginning to live with the fall out: of steroid induced diabetes, calcific tendinitis playing having with joints, and another more recent scare of a benign tumour.In 2024 my dad was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer which was unfortunately inoperable. He had to endure regular immunotherapy and then chemotherapy to prolong the inevitable. Even with his valiant battle nevertheless we lost him in June the following year. I first hand have leant on Macmillan's services more than I care to admit and would appreciate any help that I can help put back into such a worthy cause!
