My story
I’m taking on the Lake District Mighty Hike, pushing my limits to raise £250 in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, because no one should have to face cancer alone.
Last year my partner Dan’s wonderful Dad John Booker sadly lost his life to Pancreatic Cancer.
My amazing sister Donna has won her battle with Cancer twice but it’s left it’s mark on her life and her well-being as well as bringing a premature end to her much loved Military and nursing careers.
My wonderful friends Christine and Penelope continue to battle this brutal killer
So too these incredible people and to all of the patients I’ve had the honour and privilege to nurse through their cancer journeys. This is my tribute to you and your incredible bravery and determination.
Praying that each pound raised allows MacMillan to reach more people and support them and their families through their Cancer journey. Through telephone support services, informative websites and printed literature. Every pound really does make a difference 🙏
Today, almost 3.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer, a figure that's growing steadily. Macmillan’s goal is to be there from diagnosis through every step of the journey.
That’s where we come in.
Your donation, no matter the size, will help ensure that no one has to face cancer without the care, compassion, and expert support they deserve.
Together, we can make a Mighty difference.
