My story
I’m taking on the Lake District Mighty Hike, in memory of my Grandfather who sadly lost his life to cancer and my uncle who has beaten the big C. It hits hard when 2 members of your family get diagnosed with cancer.
My grandfather adored the Lake district and even though i was young at the time of his passing, i still have great memories of our time spent up there exploring the beautiful landscape. I know he will be with me every step of the way.
Today, almost 3.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer, a figure that's growing steadily. Macmillan’s goal is to be there from diagnosis through every step of the journey.
