My story
I’m taking on the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike, pushing my limits to raise £250 in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, because no one should have to face cancer alone.
This will be the 5th Mighty Hike I be taking part in and it always in memory of my beautiful mum. I lost her in 2011 at the young age of 50, losing my mum was the hardest thing I ever had to deal with.
Each year I take part in a different hike but always doing the marathon and walking 26miles to raise as much as I can for this amazing charity that helps so many families.
This is always a massive challenge for me as I have my own health condition Cystic Fibrosis which is a very serious respiratory condition and walk any length is a huge challenge to do and I always want to push myself on the hardest challenges and this marathon walk will certainly be one of them.
Please help me raise at least my minimum amount of £250.
Today, almost 3.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer, a figure that's growing steadily. Macmillan’s goal is to be there from diagnosis through every step of the journey.
That’s where we come in.
Your donation, no matter the size, will help ensure that no one has to face cancer without the care, compassion, and expert support they deserve.
Together, we can make a Mighty difference.
