My story
I’m taking part in the Mighty Hike for Macmillan in honour of my amazing granda, walking a marathon!
He’s 81 years old and truly an inspiration. Over the past 10 years, he faced both throat cancer and bladder cancer. When his throat cancer returned, he went through more treatment and now lives with a voice box and a stoma bag, but he never once let it take away his strength or determination.
Today, I’m so proud to say he has no cancer.
Watching him fight with such courage, resilience and positivity has been nothing short of inspiring. At 81, he’s still strong as ever.
Throughout his journey, the nurses from Macmillan a cancer Support were there for him and for our whole family. That’s why I’m walking the Mighty Hike, to say thank you, to give back, and to help make sure other families receive the same incredible support when they need it most.
Every mile is for my granda!💚
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much.
