My story
Support The Sheffield Star newspaper at MacMillan's Mighty Hike Peak District.
On July 18, seven of The Star's foolhardiest reporters will join hundreds of others for a 26 mile hike in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support, starting and finishing at Bakewell.
It's not just a good cause, but also the charity championed by Sheffield's one and only mad walker, John Burkhill.
The team has written countless stories and front pages about The Man with the Pram's legendary fundraising efforts to reach his Magic Million - now, it's only right we do some fundraising ourselves.
We're setting a starter goal of £1,000, with a stretch goal of, say, £700,000 (that way John will reach his second million all in one day).
We might just interview other walkers as we go about why they're taking on the challenge. Expect plenty of videos and photos on The Star's Facebook page on the day as the team is put through their paces.
