My story
If you know me, you'll know I love a challenge... and after spending years in the gym, it felt like it was time to push myself in a completely different way. So this year, I'm taking on the Mighty Hike. The full marathon distance!
But this is about so much more than the miles.
I'm doing this for everyone whose life has been touched by cancer. For those still fighting, those who have beaten it, those we've sadly lost, and for every family whose lives have been changed forever.
I'm walking for my dad, who had lung cancer. I'm walking for my mum, who fought and beat cancer with incredible strength, only for us to lose her suddenly in a different way. Life can be unbelievably unfair, which is why charities like Macmillan mean so much to so many people.
Every step will be for them, and for everyone else with a story like mine.
I'll be swapping barbells for walking boots, packing an embarrassing amount of snacks, and hoping my feet forgive me by the finish line! 😂🍫🥾
