My story
We’re Georgie & Monique.
Two mums. Both under 35. And both without our parents.
Georgie lost her mum to cancer in 2013. Since then, it’s left a mark that never really goes away. Her and her brother are now the only ones left on her mum’s side who haven’t yet faced cancer themselves.
And that’s the reality for so many of us.
Right now, 1 in 2 people will face cancer in their lifetime.
That’s not a statistic you ignore. That’s one you feel.
We’ve both watched people we love fade, struggle, and die right in front of us.
We’ve lived the grief. We’ve seen what cancer really does, beyond the surface.
So this June, we’re taking on the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike for Macmillan Cancer Support.
We’re doing it for the people who can’t.
For the ones we’ve lost.
And for the ones still fighting.
This isn’t going to be easy.
We haven’t even started training yet (pray for us 😂), but we’re all in.
We’ll be pushing ourselves further than we ever have, physically and mentally, because this actually matters.
If you’ve ever been affected by cancer, you already know why this is important.
If you can donate, even a few quid, it genuinely makes a difference.
And if you can’t, sharing means just as much.
Sponsor us and help us keep going when it gets tough.
Let’s do something good with this 💚
