Our story
We have officially lost the plot and possibly our toenails!
Mark Bates Ltd are taking on the Mighty Hikes Norfolk to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and before you ask, no… none of us have ever walked this far before.
Not for leisure.
Not for fun.
Not even by accident.
Our combined experience of “long walks” usually involves a pub at the end and even then, we’d normally drive.
So why are we doing this?
Because Macmillan Cancer Support does incredible work for people and families facing cancer, providing practical, emotional and financial support when it’s needed most. We might not be seasoned hikers (or even slightly seasoned hikers), but we’re determined to put one foot in front of the other to help raise vital funds for an amazing cause.
There will be blisters.
There will be complaints.
There may be dramatic speeches at mile 12.
But we’ll keep going.
